Drink Award-Winning Local Beer in Prince Frederick Maryland

Looking for a good place to grab a beer in Prince Frederick, Maryland? Head over to Mully’s Brewery for some award-winning local brews.

The People Behind Prince Frederick’s Best Brewery

Mully’s Brewery was started in 2012 by Cindy and Jason Mullikin. And it’s still a family-run operation today. Cindy and Jason are self-proclaimed beer geeks. Mully’s visitors love its laid-back atmosphere and the down-to-earth family behind the bar.

Jason and Cindy didn’t have any commercial brewing experience before they started Mully’s. But both are graduates of the World Brewing Academy of Chicago. They quickly joined the Brewer’s Association of Maryland, becoming part of a large community of brewers dedicated to the craft.

Tour the First Production Brewery in Calvert County

Mully’s Brewery is the oldest production brewery in Calvert County. They have a large brewing facility where each batch is about 500 gallons. But the great thing about touring Mully’s is that they do it all manually. They design each batch themselves. Then its weighed, added, mixed, stirred, transferred, and pitched by hand. So if you want to see good traditional brewing techniques in action, take a tour of Mully’s Brewery.
